The GSE Mechanic will operate & perform maintenance on a small to mid-sized mobile equipment repair shop.
As a 24/7 operation, we have openings across all shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and 12-hour schedules. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work any shift based on operational needs. Overtime—both scheduled and unscheduled, including holidays—may also be required.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Repairs and maintains all equipment assigned to the section.
- Requisitions required parts and supplies for the area.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment; sweeps area daily and stores all supplies, parts, and equipment properly.
- Monitors maintenance due dates and performs services in a timely manner.
- Maintains assigned vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and proper servicing.
- Assists Ground Support personnel with transportation needs for aircrews and Ascent Aviation personnel.
- Ensures the work area is always secured to prevent theft of personal and company property.
- Establishes and maintains a Preventative Maintenance Program for all assigned equipment.
- Adheres to all Ascent Aviation policies.
- Ensures all work is performed safely; directs activities to protect employees and maintain safe working conditions

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Must possess knowledge of aircraft parts, shop supplies, tooling, and inventory control.
- Strong computer skills, including basic proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP systems (such as IFS).
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and material handling processes.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify process improvements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- One year of experience in Aircraft Refueling.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time.
- Requires frequent walking, climbing and lifting, bending, reaching to shoulder level, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED:
- Protective equipment required: Goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, apron, gloves, safety harness, breathing equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- The work location will include aircraft maintenance hangars, flightline, and Avionics shop.
- Potential hazards include exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, electrical charges and radar waves, materials identified on the Safety Data Sheets, and working around moving machinery.
OTHER DUTIES:
- May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.
- Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of department management.
