Sparta Aero Services Inc. is looking to hire a full-time Aircraft Mechanic to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair various aircraft such as Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft & other makes. An acceptable candidate would be responsible for performing routine maintenance checks, and unscheduled maintenance, as well as diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system failures. A&P license and work experience on single and light twin reciprocating engine aircraft is a requirement.
Essential Job Functions
- Attention to detail
- Perform troubleshooting of aircraft faults; Use of diagnostic equipment to detect malfunctions
- Repairs/adjusts, as necessary: engines, engine controls and accessories, propellers and controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems, flight controls, electrical systems, sheet metal, composites, oxygen, pressurization systems, heating and cooling systems, etc.
- Knowledge of FARs & adherence to regulations
- Read & Follow maintenance manuals, IPCs, ICA, etc.
- Order parts as needed, retain/submit paperwork & create invoices for work performed
- Maintain systems and equipment
- Create and manage Aircraft, Engine, & Propeller logbook entries
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Ability to tow/tug aircraft, and/or perform run-ups and system checks
- Work independently on projects
- Schedule routine maintenance checks
- Knowledge of basic computer functions, including Microsoft Office
- Provide unmatched customer service
- Willingness to take direction
