Position Summary
Frederick Aviation Maintenance is seeking a highly skilled and motivated FAA-certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic with a minimum of five (5) years of General Aviation experience. The A&P Mechanic will be responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on piston-engine aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures.
This role is critical to ensuring the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of our fleet and customer aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on General Aviation aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 43, Part 91, and applicable sections of Part 141).
• Conduct annual inspections, 100-hour inspections, progressive inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical, structural, electrical, and avionics-related discrepancies.
• Troubleshoot and repair piston engines, airframes, fuel systems, electrical systems, and related components.
• Perform airworthiness directive (AD) compliance, service bulletin compliance, and component replacement.
• Properly document all maintenance performed in aircraft maintenance logs in accordance with FAA regulations.
• Complete maintenance entries in accordance with 14 CFR §43.9 and §43.11.
• Ensure all work meets FAA airworthiness standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Assist in maintaining accurate parts inventory and coordinating with parts suppliers.
• Support fleet readiness for flight training and customer operations.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team, flight operations, and management.
