We are a General Aviation shop looking for an A&P with general aviation experience. Our prefeed candidate would be looking for long term employment. We maintain a Varity of general aviation aircraft from the 1950s to brand new aircraft. We service single engine piston aircraft up to and including light jets. Wings aviation works on a number of manufactures fixed wing aircraft. Our shop is located in Valparaiso Indiana about 50 miles from Chicago. Lake Michigan beaches are about 25-30 minutes from Valparaiso. Porter County airport has around 170 aircraft based on the field. The airport has 3 flight schools, and an active aviation community.

Outline of your responsibilities as a Mechanic for Wings Aviation
- Responsible for the Inspection / Maintenance of Aircraft/Components and the documentation of such in accordance with Wings Aviations procedures and current FAA regulations
- Applicants must know how to complete 100Hour/annual inspections including disassembly, inspection recording of discrepancies, research/ requesting parts, repairing discrepancies, servicing and reassembly. Ability to Troubleshoot engine, electrical, and airframe components. Ability to use available reference materials.
- This position serves as a full-time Aircraft Maintenance Technician for Wings Aviation Inc.
- The Technician will be responsible for all aspects of maintaining our customers aircraft in accordance with manufacturer instructions, company policies and applicable FARs
- This includes maintenance, inspection, and repair of the companies’ special tools, and ground support equipment
- Inspect, repair, and maintain aircraft and components
- All work is inspected and documented per Service Manuals as required and approved processes
- Consult aircraft maintenance manuals, manufacturers' manuals, and approved data for specifications to determine the extent of repair or replacement of part(s)
- Proficiently troubleshoot airframe and engine issues for defects and correct any problems according to the specifications of the Maintenance Manual
- Perform Scheduled inspections on aircraft
- Maintain knowledge of project statuses on a daily basis and ensure production schedules meet delivery dates
- Complete work orders and manage jobs within available billable time
- Ability to attend required training events on airframe, engines, and equipment as necessary
- Physical activity may require entering confined spaces
