As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at Dorset Innovation Park, Winfrith, you&8217;ll play a vital role in our mission to innovate the future of maritime technology. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to research and development in highly integrated mechatronics technologies. AEUK&8217;s Mechatronics department covers various technical areas, including systems for surface vessels, autonomy of surface vessels, towed array handling systems, launch and recovery systems for UUVs and towed sonar, advanced power generation, minesweeping technologies, sensor systems for submarines, sonar systems, and sub-system integration for surface vessels and submarines, electronics and control systems, specialist cable design, and the design, test, and qualification of equipment for harsh environments.
What we are looking for in you:
- A degree or working toward a degree in an relevant engineering discipline
- Interest or past experience in engineering or the marine industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for interaction at all levels
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently, using own initiative, especially under pressure
- Strong team focus
- Strong time management skills
- Willingness to travel in the UK and overseas

Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for supporting and delivering key software products across the product lifecycle
- Working closely with project teams, including the System Design Authority, Engineering Manager, and Team Engineers
- Attending client and supplier meetings
- Attending and supporting equipment tests
