Key responsibilities:
▪ Assist with the proper care, handling,securing and cleanliness of company tools, equipment, vehicles and facilitiesat all times.
Keep informed on relevant manufacturer,CIAA and company publications and procedures changes, updates and safetyadvisories, notices, etc. as they relate to the job and or department
▪ Conduct servicing, repairs andreplacements of parts and components on GSE and company vehicles as directed
▪ Maintain and keep records of all the workaccomplished, parts, materials used on the appropriate GSE forms and documentsin accordance with procedures and company standards
▪ Assist with investigations,troubleshooting, diagnosing, recording and reporting mechanical failures anddamages.
▪ Document On Request Orders and/or WorkOrders, jobs undertaken, parts and materials used or needed
▪ Document any problems solved oroutstanding, replacements and corrective actions required or taken to make GSEunits and vehicles serviceable
▪ Responsible for fuelling and fluidservicing of all GSE units daily and complete reports and hand over along with invoices daily to Senior Manager Facilities and GSE
▪ Responsible for cleaning of all Ground SupportEquipment.
▪ Responsible for Tire maintenance and lubricating ofall Ground Support Equipment.
▪ Use and understand all technical manuals orpublications relative to aircraft GSE and vehicles
▪ Observe and adhere to all manufacturers, Company andCIAA safety, maintenance and operational procedures and standards duringaccomplishment of duties
RequirementsQualifications, Skills& Experience:
▪ Minimum of high school diploma with O’ level orequivalent passes in English and Mathematics are required
▪ Must have successfully completed a full course ofstudy and training in a recognized auto mechanic training program and receivedcertification to a minimum of Level II Auto Mechanic. Will also consider candidates with 4 yearsrelevant automotive and industrial equipment servicing experience and overhaulexperience. in both diesel- and gas-powered equipment
▪ Clean police clearance certificate with aminimum of 30 days validity as and when requested
▪ Valid CIG Driver’s License; Group 2 amust, but a Group 4 is preferred
▪ Must be proficient in English and computer literate with a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office Suitespecifically Word & Excel
▪ Must be disciplined, methodical, andhighly self‐motivated
▪ Ability to work weekends, evenings and public holidayson a roster basis as well as overtime on short notice
▪ Must be able to assist, lift or move itemsweighing 70 pounds or heavier
Special Conditions:
▪ When working on the ramp, techniciansand mechanics will be exposed to the elements including extreme heat, humidity,sunlight, rain, wind, lightning, cold weather and noisy conditions, fumes andchemical odors and movement of aircraft and other airside heavy supportequipment
▪ This is a manual job and it is moreimportant to have the physical stability and skills to do the job
