Physical & Work Conditions:
- Ascend/descend ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 35 lbs (two-person lift for >50 lbs).
- Frequent standing, walking, overhead reaching, and balancing on uneven surfaces.
- Occasional crawling, squatting, bending, and operating foot controls.
- Exposure to noise and metals; PPE required.
- Must pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
- Ability to handle hazardous materials and maintain required certifications.
Basic Qualifications (Required):
- 4+ years of experience in heavy structures work as described above.
- Experience with non-porous metals (aluminum, titanium, stainless steel).
- Skilled in using structural hand tools (drills, countersink cages, rivet guns, hole finders, etc.).
- Ability to interpret schematics, specifications, and assembly drawings.
- Knowledge of shop mathematics and practices.
- Proficient computer skills (aircraft systems and basic office software).
- Ability to obtain customer approval for access (background check required).
- This position will require the ability to obtain customer approval for access. Dual citizenship or prior citizenship of any other country may preclude ability to obtain access. A 3rd party background check relating to personal and business finances, residences, employment history, past drug use, prior military service, and criminal behavior will be conducted.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications:
- FAA Airframe and/or Power Plant certification.
- Experience with VIP or specialty aircraft interiors within the last 10 years.
- Depot-level/heavy structures maintenance experience.
