Nickerson Talent Solutions is actively seeking experienced Helicopter A&P Mechanics to support a growing rotorcraft maintenance operation in Fort Worth, TX.

This position supports both commercial and military helicopter maintenance operations involving inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, track & balance procedures, phase maintenance, and mechanical system diagnostics across multiple rotorcraft platforms.

We are seeking mechanics with recent hands-on helicopter maintenance experience who can independently troubleshoot aircraft discrepancies, perform maintenance in accordance with FAA standards, and support a fast-paced maintenance operation.

This is NOT an entry-level mechanic position.

Candidates with strong troubleshooting ability, rotorcraft maintenance experience, heavy maintenance exposure, and FAA-compliant maintenance backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and scheduled maintenance on commercial and military helicopters
  • Support heavy maintenance, phase inspections, flightline maintenance, and return-to-service activities
  • Perform rotor system track & balance procedures using specialized test equipment
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, rotor, and aircraft system discrepancies
  • Adjust and troubleshoot engine parameters including:
    • Oil pressure
    • Ng
    • Temperature indications
    • Topping settings
  • Interpret and apply:
    • Airworthiness Directives (ADs)
    • Alert Service Bulletins (ASBs)
    • Maintenance manuals
    • Technical documentation
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment including:
    • Micrometers
    • Dial calipers
    • Tensiometers
    • Dial bore gauges
    • Feeler gauges
    • Borescopes
  • Perform maintenance using proper torque procedures and aircraft tooling
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and repair documentation in accordance with FAA and repair station standards
  • Collaborate with inspectors, mechanics, and engineering personnel to support safe and efficient aircraft operations
  • Complete maintenance tasks within assigned schedules while maintaining quality and compliance standards
Job Requirements:

Job Responsibilities

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
  • Minimum 3+ years of helicopter maintenance experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of recent hands-on experience on applicable helicopter platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills involving:
    • Mechanical systems
    • Hydraulic systems
    • Rotor systems
    • Aircraft systems
  • Experience performing inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in an FAA-regulated environment
  • Familiarity with:
    • Aviation maintenance manuals
    • Technical documentation
    • Blueprints
    • Schematics
    • Repair station procedures
  • Familiarity with track & balance procedures and related test equipment
  • Experience using:
    • Hand tools
    • Power tools
    • Torque tools
    • Precision measuring instruments
  • Working knowledge of blueprint reading, geometry, and basic trigonometry
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced maintenance environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise repairs under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Inspection Authorization (IA)
  • OEM rotorcraft training completed within the last 4 years
  • Experience supporting both commercial and military helicopter operations
  • Previous FAA Part 145 repair station experience
  • Heavy maintenance or depot maintenance experience
  • Leadership or lead mechanic experience

Work Environment & Travel

  • Fast-paced rotorcraft maintenance environment
  • Active hangar and flightline work environment
  • Some travel may be required
  • Ability to lift, climb, bend, and perform hands-on aircraft maintenance work
  • Overtime and extended hours may be required based on operational needs
