Position Summary

The Helicopter Aircraft Tech A – Maintenance performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on UH-72A Lakota helicopters and other airframes as required. This role includes conducting operational checks, diagnosing malfunctions, and ensuring compliance with client regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, familiarity with aviation tooling, and experience with rotorcraft systems.

Key Responsibilities

Aircraft Inspections (70%)

• Perform detailed inspections, assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of parts and components.
• Conduct operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning.

Compliance (20%)

• Ensure all work complies with client regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.
• Follow OSHA, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Complete all required documentation and records.

System Troubleshooting (10%)

• Diagnose malfunctions or failures on aircraft systems including:
  • Equipment furnishings
  • Fire protection
  • Fuel system
  • Hydraulics
  • Landing gear
  • Doors, fuselage, stabilizer, rotor systems
  • Power plant and engine controls

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Trade School preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 4 years related experience.
• Preferred Experience: EC145, H145, or UH-72.
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • FAA A&P License
  • EC145 Field Maintenance Course
  • Safran Level 1 or Level 2 Completion

Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical data.
• Familiarity with common aviation tooling.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English (French or German preferred).

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 60 lbs (27 kg) and carry up to 30 lbs (14 kg).
• Ability to stand, kneel, squat, and walk on uneven surfaces.
• Vision and hearing sufficient for production floor safety.
• PPE required: Safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, gloves.
