Position Overview

 

Perform visual and functional inspections of aircraft and components during all phases of maintenance as assigned by Inspection Management.

 

  • Inspecting aircraft and components in accordance with instructions for continued airworthiness, reviewing inspection requirements scope and detail, completing visual and mechanical inspections of assigned aircraft areas.
  • Ensuring all assigned inspections are properly completed in compliance with established policies and procedures and corresponding inspection records, reports, and forms are properly executed prior to releasing products for return to service.
  • Identifying defects on aircraft systems operations, including but not limited to, engine performance, pneumatic / hydraulics, pressurization, air conditioning, electrical, fuel, and flight controls. Identifying location of discrepancies by using fuselage body stations and butt lines. Interpreting and ensuring compliance with applicable instructions for continued airworthiness.
  • Inspecting and evaluating work performed by Maintenance Technician ensuring compliance with applicable technical data.
  • Ensuring safety procedures are followed and potential damage to customer or company property is minimized by overseeing aircraft handling activities, including but not limited to, jacking, fueling, defueling, and towing.
  • Performing receiving inspection functions for new and continued service parts for serviceability, including but not limited to, verifying part certification, and inspecting for shipping damage and obvious defects.
  • Performing weight and balance operations using instructions for continued airworthiness and designated equipment.
  • Ensuring completion of logbook entries and releasing the aircraft for test flight or in-flight operations checks.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable FARs, policies, and procedures during day-to-day assignments.
  • Perform inspections only on products for which they have been properly trained and qualified.
  • Ensure aircraft and surrounding areas are in a safe condition for the work being performed.
  • Being authorized to act on behalf of the repair station.
  • Perform additional duties as may be assigned by the Inspection Lead and Inspection Manager.

 

What you need: (Requirements)

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
  • Thorough understanding of FAA 14 CFR parts 21, , 43, 121, 125 and 145.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience as a technician and/or inspector in a commercial aircraft environment, or previous demonstrated competency with HAECO. (Up to four (4) years Military Aviation may be applied if experience was on transport category type aircraft).
  • Language (read, write, speak, and understand English).
  • Subject to noises more than 85 dbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolong periods of time, and climb steps, ladders and/or service stands.
  • Visual acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected and must have full color vision.
  • Job requires participation in the DOT random drug and alcohol testing program.

  • General Familiarization Courses.
