Description:Quality Assurance APG Inspector for Iraq F-16 program:
This position is part of a team supporting F-16 aircraft maintenance at Balad AB, Iraq.
Candidate will evaluate process compliance, write/review corrective action/preventative action reports, perform root cause analysis and validate quality processes, responses, and plans.
Primary duty includes inspection of all F-16 airframe powerplant general (APG) duties, aircraft ground handling/servicing, component removal/replacement, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and Time Compliance Technical Order execution.
Requires experience in inspection of aerospace ground equipment, hazardous waste management programs, tool & FOD industry standards, equipment calibration procedures, and general security procedures.
Candidate will be required to conduct incident and/or mishap investigation audits, prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, and trends including failed process, recalls, corrective actions, and validations.
Perform other duties assigned by manager.
*Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
*SECURITY Clearance REQUIRED. Must have an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to start date AND must maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
USAF 7-level or equivalent in F-16 APG career field.
Requires 5 years experience in inspection of aircraft ground handling/servicing, component removal/replacement, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, Time Compliance Technical Orders execution.
2 years Quality Assurance or IG Inspector experience
Full understanding of USAF AFI 21-101, USAF Technical Orders
Experience in USAF Maintenance Standardization Evaluation Program (MSEP) processes and knowledge of operating associated data base
Experience with ILIAS (Integrated Logistics Information & Automation System)
Familiar with Aircraft Weight & Balance and associated software
Ability to identify and understand non-conformities, as they relate to safety-of-flight inspections, procedural breakdowns, and/or program (process) audits.
Possess effective communication skills for coordinating with Aircraft Managers/Supervisors, Field Service Reps, System Engineers, Maintenance Logistics Support Managers, Customer COR/QAR and maintainers regarding quality issues, Instrumentation System Integration, Deficiency Analysis/Reporting, customer complaints, and other issues related to higher quality as they occur.
Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings/instructions; system schematics/blueprints; and technical policy/maintenance instructions.
Capable of conducting teleconference and/or briefing (presentation) to management/customer
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
