Description:Quality Assurance Avionics Inspector for Iraq F-16 program:
This position is in Iraq supporting F-16 aircraft maintenance training at Balad Air Base.
Candidate will evaluate process compliance, write/review corrective action/preventative action reports, perform root cause analysis and validate quality processes, responses, and plans.
Primary duty includes inspection of all F-16 Avionics system scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Requires experience in the inspection of all F-16 Avionics systems such as communications/navigation, attack, instruments and flight controls. Additionally, will inspect aerospace ground equipment, hazardous waste management programs, tool & FOD industry standards, and general security procedures.
Candidate will be required to conduct incident and/or mishap investigation audits, prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, and trends including failed process, recalls, corrective actions, and validations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by manager.
*Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
*SECURITY Clearance REQUIRED. Must have an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to start date AND must maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Documented USAF 7 level or equivalent in F-16 Avionics maintenance with a minimum 4 year experience.
2 years Quality Assurance or IG Inspector experience.
Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills.
Full understanding of USAF AFI 21-101, USAF Technical Orders.
Experience in USAF Maintenance Standardization Evaluation Program (MSEP) processes and knowledge of operating associated data base.
Aircraft Structural Integrity Program Experience.
Experience with ILIAS (Integrated Logistics Information & Automation System).
Experience coordinating with Aircraft Managers/Supervisors, Field Service Reps, System Engineers, Maintenance Logistics Support Managers, COR/QAR and maintainers regarding quality issues, Deficiency Analysis/Reporting, customer complaints, and other issues related to higher quality as they occur.
Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings/instructions; system schematics/blueprints; and technical policy/maintenance instructions.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
