We have an opportunity for an Inspector IV, 1st shift, to join our team in Bloomfield, CT. This position will perform advanced inspection activities of product, materials, first piece inspection and in-process monitoring as assigned. This position reports to the Value Stream Manager/Sr. Team Leader on work assignments to meet production schedules. The position will have a dotted line reporting relationship to the Sr. Team Leader, Quality Assurance regarding quality issues. Hours for the position will be 1st shift: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities:
- Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection of various mechanical components and assemblies to close tolerance. Perform first piece and in-process inspection in assigned value stream.
- Identify defects in surface, dimensional, visual, and non-conformities (material, documentation, and workmanship) to blueprints and Kamatics’ quality standards. Report non-conformance of materials or unusual conditions to Quality Supervisor and cell leader.
- Demonstrate proficiency with CMM operation to inspect product.
- Perform all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations. Follow work procedures.
- Maintain records, data, and logs as necessary. Create inspection forms such as IMS, first article and other related forms.
- Navigate computer files and software to acquire necessary items for inspection, verification, etc.
- Provide leadership/training as needed. Ensure that production schedules are met.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of inspecting experience in a manufacturing setting, aerospace preferred
- High School Diploma
