Description:You will be the Inspector Senior for the Quality Inspection team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the highest product quality across the Lufkin facility.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Inspector Senior you will use your keen attention to detail to verify that in‑process and finished products meet exacting specifications.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Inspecting in‑process and completed products for defects, flaws, and missing components.
- Using measuring devices such as dial indicators, preset micrometers, and scales to verify product specifications.
- Accepting, rejecting, or reworking defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
- Generating Q‑notes for all defects and supporting stock purges, floor audits, and other quality‑system tasks.
- Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process control procedures.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
-Proficiency with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, Go/No‑Go gauges) and ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
-Strong attention to detail and documentation skills, including accurate completion of inspection reports, non‑conformance records, and corrective‑action follow‑up.
-Basic computer skills; comfortable using SAP and other related systems.
-Effective communication and teamwork, able to clearly convey findings to engineers, supervisors, and production staff and collaborate on corrective‑action plans.
Desired Skills:
-Familiar with hardware produced to J-STD-001
-Time‑management & prioritization – handle multiple inspections and documentation tasks while meeting production schedules.
-Effective communication – clear, concise reporting of findings; ability to collaborate with engineering, production.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
