EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school in upholstery, cabinetry, or aircraft interiors preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in aircraft interior installation, refurbishment, or completions.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or lead technician experience in an MRO or completions environment preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of FAA Part 145 regulations, maintenance documentation, and standard aviation practices.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
This position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations and the ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. This position must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
MATH ABILITY:
This position requires the ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra, fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
This position requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. This position must interpret a variety of instructions furnished written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Software: Information Management System, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Internet software, MS Project Management, E-mail.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
This position requires a current driver’s license.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level is usually moderate and this position is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit and talk or hear, stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move in excess of 25 pounds. This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT USED:
The safety equipment in the Interior Shops include ear plugs, safety glasses, respirators, dusks masks and back belts for loads in excess of 25 pounds.
