Pratt & Whitney AutoAir Plant 5 OEM in Holt, MI (South of Lansing) is seeking a Quality Assurance Intern for 1st Shift. 1st shift hours are generally 7:30PM to 4:30 PM Monday thru Friday. Candidates should possess experience in or desire to learn about Manufacturing, Quality Management Systems, Root Cause Corrective Action, Data Analysis, Technical Review, Inspection Methods, and Project Management.
What You Will Do
- Support your shift of operators and inspectors. Partner with safety, operations, engineering, materials, and maintenance teams to meet deliverables and solve problems.
- Learn the processes, procedures, inspection methods, and requirements to train and educate others.
- Evaluate technical data and work instructions in support of engineering and operations.
- Assist Material Review Board and Clinic members with managing projects and inventories. This may include conducting investigations, providing analysis, and developing recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities.
- Develop proactive quality initiative strategies and drive their implementation.
- Perform Escape Management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions for internally produced products & processes.
- Promote the Product Safety and Quality culture in the business, through compliance to the QMS and adherence to Quality Cardinal Rules.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Enrolled in a degree program in Engineering or Supply Chain
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Proficiency on the computer with Microsoft Office suite
- Enrolled and in good academic standing with an accredited institution. Preferred enrollments in the following disciplines: Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics
- Basic knowledge of drawings and 3D models
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
