Job Title: Lead Aircraft Technician $36-42/hr.Job Description
The aircraft technician will perform line maintenance at ORD for various major carriers, primarily working on Airbuses, 747s, and 777s. Responsibilities include on-call and scheduled line maintenance, routine maintenance, airworthiness releases, and returning aircraft to service. The role requires servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, engines, and components, ensuring all work meets deadlines and performance goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform line maintenance duties and activities as assigned.
- Troubleshoot systems; disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components.
- Ensure all departing aircraft are safe in accordance with FARs and air carrier/manufacturer manuals.
- Collaborate and communicate with the air carrier’s maintenance control center as required.
Qualifications- A&P License
- Line maintenance experience
- Driver License
- Customer service skills
- Own tools (tool list available)
- 3 plus years of experience on 777 or 747 aircraft

Work Environment
Primarily work outdoors and will be provided with a vehicle to drive to each aircraft for maintenance. There is an office located near the airport for training purposes. Initial training is conducted with a team, but technicians will work independently once fully trained. Shifts are from Thursday to Sunday, with specific hours on Thursday and Friday being 9:00 PM to 10:30 AM, and Saturday from 9:00 PM to 10:00 AM. Opportunities to pick up additional shifts during the week are available. The role includes leading a small crew of 4-6 team members.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
