Lead Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic

Job Summary:

A Lead A&P Mechanic supervises and assists assigned crew through project completion. Reviews work package for completeness and assures all items are completed and signed off. Performs buy back inspections on assigned project. 

Functions/Responsibility:

• Reviews assigned work package and due list items.
• Organizes assigned crew and issues tasks
• Performs buy back inspections
• Supervises crew and assures work is completed per the Repair Station requirements
• Coordinates parts and material requirements with parts department
• Makes sure crew has tools and materials to complete assigned tasks
• Assists crew with troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution 
• Safely work in a shop environment using tools and equipment as necessary 
• Performs all Engine Mechanic duties
• Complete required documentation for work performed 
• Inspect, troubleshoot, adjust and repair aircraft and/or engines as assigned 
• Complete required training as assigned 
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment  
• Work productively individually or with an assigned crew
• Works with integrity and desire to maintain a high quality standard
• Report failures or deficiencies immediately
• Pass background check and random drug testing

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Airframe or Powerplant certificate (Both preferred) 
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office computer systems
