POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment. Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades; carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical sheet metal fabrication, and welding. Manage multiple facility support functions ensuring teamwork and a commitment to excellence in providing consistent and high quality services to internal clients.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Responsible for developing bid criteria, bid analysis, and project management for infrastructure improvements.
- Responsible for managing EAMS maintenance program.
- Responsible for oversight and coordination of outside contractors, oversees all building improvements and is responsible for overall labor and material used to accomplish projects.
- Will insure all work is performed to meet regulatory codes and standards.
- Uses building maintenance and/or any other project management software systems as needed.
- Close interaction with customers including department heads and Sr. Leadership.
- Adheres to standard operating procedures, and ensures positive interaction; leads the team with confidence in meeting the employees needs to do their work effectively.
- Coordinate activities with others, to assure seamless support among the different support services, departments and transitions between shifts.
- The candidate is a leader - and accountable - in quality assurance and improvement for department; and is responsible for all aspects of employee leadership including hiring, disciplinary action, scheduling, performance evaluation, training and competency checks.

- Operates vehicles, such as van, industrial truck or industrial vacuum cleaner.
- Assists in the pick-up and delivery of parts, equipment and supplies.
- Provide vendor/contractor security escort as needed.
- Assist maintenance personnel with minor maintenance and repairs to facility equipment as needed (i.e. replace lights, unstop drains, etc.)
- Complete maintenance request task as assigned from maintenance scheduling software.
- Other facility task as required.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- High School/ GED
- Certificate of Attendance
- Certificate of Completion
- Advanced Technician Role, requiring Advanced Skills to perform all standard tasks within the Technical Area assigned to.
- Generally at least 5-7 years of experience in construction, engineering or facilities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must have experience with hand tools and power tools.
- High degree of technical aptitude and skill to learn the function and repair of plant production equipment.
- Equipment Maintenance-Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Repairing-Repairing machines or systems following manufacturer’s manuals.
- Troubleshooting-Determining cause of operating errors recommends corrective action.
- Installation-Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
- Self-Starter able to take direction, problem solves to repair and maintain equipment and systems.

- Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.

- Perform physical activities that requires considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
