Line Maintenance Mechanic will provide ground to cockpit headset communication to airlines handled by dnata during aircraft arrival and pushback activities.
In this role, you will:
- Works independently across the wide geographical spread of the airport, liaising with all necessary parties (including but not limited to the captain, airline representative, aircraft engineer) in order to ensure that all the requests of the airline are provided on time and to ensure maximum customer satisfaction / maximisation of revenue.
- Strictly complies with all relevant company Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Airport Authority Standards and Regulatory requirements. Ensures the safe handling of aircraft/personnel and maintain a complete knowledge of the Airport Authority Standards and Regulations including the safe movement around the aircraft on the ramp and understanding of all signs and road spanings
- Participates and promotes a safety culture in an effort to minimize accidents and highlight deficiencies/failures that can lead to such accidents. Ensures all work locations are kept clean and excellent housekeeping conditions are maintained. This includes being aware and communicating safety shortfalls. To avoid FOD will be vigilant in ensuring work areas (including the ramp), vehicles, stands, lockers and toolboxes are all kept clean.
- Assists in the provision of technical ground support equipment (Ground Power Unit, Air Conditioned Unit, Air Start Unit, axle jack, cherry picker, nitrogen trolley, brake cooling units) efficiently and safely on a shift basis in order to meet the needs of the customer airlines operating through Al Maktoum International Airport.
QualificationTo be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirement:
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in the relevant field of aviation,
- Must have completed an Apprenticeship with an airline or an approved aircraft maintenance organisation or received an Equivalent training from Air Force/ Navy.
- Must possess UAE driving licence / Airport Police Driving licence.
- Basic knowledge (theory and practical) of Airframe, Power Plant and/or Avionic systems. Technical Equipment.
