Job Title: Line Maintenance Planning Coordinator (121-Airline)

Reports To: Manager of Maintenance Planning
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Use the AMOS database and ASTRO Operations Manager database to monitor the TAT, TAC, flight schedule, and geographical locations of company aircraft.
· Use the AMOS database to review, monitor, and maintain all work packages created by Maintenance Control and Maintenance Planning.
· Use the AMOS database to monitor the time remaining on all maintenance events within work packages and ensure all events are issued and accomplished within specified time limits.
· Coordinate with aircraft scheduling to secure locations, dates, and sufficient ground time to complete work packages.
· Use ASTRO Operations Manager database to create and monitor flight blocks for work packages.
· Assign work packages to out-stations.
· Coordinate with stores and out-station personnel to ensure manpower, tools, equipment, and parts are available to complete all work orders within work packages.
· Work closely with Stores, Maintenance, and QC departments to ensure special tools, materials, and qualified personnel (i.e. ETOPS, NDT, structures, Inspectors…) are available and in place for accomplishment of all work orders.
· Review historical (previous day/week) work packages for events that were “Not Performed” and deassign/reassign work orders as required.
· Support any Maintenance Action Plan (MAP) to ensure compliance with time limited items.
· Attend the daily Line Maintenance Planning Meeting.
o Chair the meeting as delegated by the Planning Manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 3 years experience in large aircraft Line/Heavy maintenance (A&P License/QC experience preferred); or
· 3 years experience in large aircraft Line/Heavy Maintenance Planning.
· General knowledge of large aircraft systems and structures (Boeing Model 747, 767, and 777 preferred).
· Working knowledge of large aircraft manuals (i.e. AMM, CMM, IPC, SRM, MPD, CPCP, SSID, NDT).
· Computer experience with Aviation Data Bases (AMOS & ASTRO preferred), Microsoft Word, and Excel.
LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
· Read, write, and understand spoken and written English (experience in technical writing is preferred).
· Create and update routine reports and correspondence in Microsoft Word & Excel formats.
· Create logical/coherent/grammatical messages to communicate ideas, thoughts, and instructions which can be understood by large variable groups (i.e. Operations, Maintenance, QC, Stores, etc.).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
· Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
· Convert between different units of measure.
· Compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
