Job Description:

Purpose:

This role provides direct oversight of any unscheduled or routine maintenance. Initiates MELs and insures MEL procedures are followed. This role will also coordinate all outstation maintenance activities.is the focal point for communications and coordination with Operations for the Maintenance department.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides follow-up, and coordinates delivery for all parts required for aircraft maintenance.
  • Reviews aircraft inspections and MELs daily as well as non-routine discrepancies to ensure that all items are performed within the prescribed time limitations.
  • Verify that all work is completed and appropriate signatures are obtained.
  • Reports delays and other abnormal operations to other departmental areas requiring this critical information.
  • Communicates directly with Flight Crews, Flight Control, Maintenance Scheduling, and other departments providing updated status of maintenance activities.
  • Coordinates with the records department to ensure aircraft records are maintained and updated.
  • Ensure that outside maintenance facilities are performing work IAW Berry Aviations GMM, manufacturers manuals, and applicable FARs
  • May assist with overflow work or other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:

Qualifications


Required:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate

 

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Aircraft maintenance, parts, inspection and wiring manuals.
  • Good working knowledge of the General Maintenance Manual and of the FARs
  • 3 years of experience on at least one of the types of aircraft below:
    • SA226/227
    • DHC-6
    • DHC-8
    • EMB120
    • ATR42/72
    • SAAB340
    • SAAB2000
    • DO328
    • King Air

 

Unique skills or certifications:

  • Good working knowledge of the General Maintenance Manual
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to delegate
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions

 

Work Schedule:

  • Schedule will consist of 12-hour days.
  • Days are 3 on, 4 off / 4 on, 3 off  (initial training schedule is M-F 7-4)
  • Day shift and night shift swap quarterly
