Maintenance Inspector
Job Description:
  • Performs inspection of aircraft systems, equipment and parts for operation and conformance to government (both FAA and NAVAIR) and company standards and specifications
  • Inspects the installation, repair and operation of electrical wiring, electronic systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil and emergency systems and other parts and equipment of aircraft
  • Inspects adjustments, structural and electrical repairs or modifications made on the aircraft in accordance with applicable aircraft maintenance Technical Orders (T.O.), TCTO's, work orders, work cards, aircraft structural repair manuals and modifications
  • Maintain the Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual and Training Manual
  • Perform Receiving Inspections on all incoming raw materials and purchased parts
  • Perform machined parts inspections, weld inspections, and electrical inspections
  • Proficient in blueprint reading / interpretation and shop mathematics
Job Requirements:
  • A Valid Airframe & Powerplant certificate is essential.
  • Significant hands-on experience (often 5+ years) with aircraft maintenance and repair, sometimes with specific weight/type requirements (e.g., >12,500 lbs for air carriers).
  • May require special authorization or an Inspection Authorization (IA).
  • Meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving, strong communication (written & verbal), and analytical skills. 
  • Must be able to work in and around confined spaces such as fuel tanks
  • Able to use inspection measuring devices as well as the use of mirror and flashlight to accomplish inspections
  • Must be able to climb, kneel, stoop and stand to accomplish inspections
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by our insurance company (Requires clean driving record)
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Products
  • Basic mathematical knowledge
  • Results driven
  • Strong time management skills
