Responsibilities
- Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, tests, and maintains CNC, laser, and multi-axis production equipment.
- Performs major mechanical repairs on lathes, milling machines, drill presses, laser cutters, jig borers, and other automated machinery.
- Diagnoses mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic equipment failures.
- Conducts operational testing, alignment, calibration, and precision adjustments on electromechanical systems.
- Repairs and maintains both conventional and electronically controlled production equipment.
- Disassembles, repairs, replaces, and reinstalls damaged or worn machine parts and assemblies.
- Performs mechanical and optical repairs independently or alongside electrical/electronic technicians.
- Uses machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drill presses, saws, welding equipment, and portable power tools.
- Utilizes precision measuring and diagnostic tools including micrometers, dial indicators, vibration analyzers, flow meters, and alignment scopes.
- Interprets relationships between integrated mechanical systems and electronic control devices to ensure proper machine operation.
- Plans work sequences, determines repair requirements, and identifies needed parts and materials.
- Performs maintenance and repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, fluidic, and automated machinery systems.
- Operates equipment in both manual and automatic modes to verify proper functionality after repairs.
- Supports repair and maintenance of specialized equipment such as electro-beam welders, dynamic balancers, press brakes, and generator testers.
- Maintains safe operation standards and may obtain a forklift license as required.
Qualifications
- High school Diploma or Equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience.
