Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated individual to oversee our avionics department. This is a permanent position NO CONTRACT WORK. Looking for someone who is self-motivated able to think outside the box to troubleshoot and diagnose problems. Good communication skills are a must.

As an avionics technician, you will be tasked with the maintenance of mechanical and electrical & avionics instrumentation.

Technicians will perform moderate to complex electronic and mechanical troubleshooting, repairs and overhaul of aircraft instruments using various technical, data, documentation and test equipment.

 

Job Requirements:

Essential Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for timely service to all of the company's fleet and customer aircraft.
  • You must perform all work in accordance with applicable regulations, procedures and local practices safely and efficiently.
  • Work with management regarding progress and timing of completion of work with other technicians in a team type atmosphere.
  • Perform day-to-day Avionics instruments troubleshooting, repairs and overhauls, within a budgeted time.
  • Perform maintenance on all electrical and mechanical Avionics instruments and gyros including but not limited to navigation, pneumatic, engine, autopilot etc.
  • Operate various Avionics test equipment including air data test set, navigation, indication and recording, pneumatic and autopilot systems.
  • Document and report all work performed on a routine basis.
  • Read wiring diagrams and fabricate test harnesses while maintaining Avionics test. equipment and tooling.
  • Perform meter measurement and balancing functions.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience in general avionics and instrument installation, repair and troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with altimeter, altitude reporting systems, static systems, and transponder systems.
  • Previous experience installing EGPWS, RVSM, Autopilots, MFD‘s, GPS, Datalink is helpful.
  • Harness building experience.
  • Interface and design knowledge.
  • Ability to earn the Repairman Certificate.
  • Honeywell experience preferred

Training and Work Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience in general avionics and instrument installation, repair and  troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with altimeter, altitude reporting systems, static systems, and transponder systems.
  • Previous experience installing EGPWS, RVSM, Autopilots, MFD‘s, GPS, Datalink is helpful.
  • Harness building experience.
  • Interface and design knowledge.
  • Ability to earn the Repairman Certificate.
  • Garmin and Honeywell experience preferred
