This position of Aviation MRO Maintenance Planner requires someone that has experience and a clear understanding of Aviation Maintenance Planning and Scheduling.

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, with a strong skill-set in Microsoft Office Programs, such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, which will allow them to successfully administrate the Planning, Scheduling, Tracking and Compliance that comes with Aviation Maintenance Planning.

The MRO Maintenance Planner is responsible for scheduling and monitoring aircraft maintenance. Organization and follow-through are a significant part of this
role - from creating accurate work scopes and tracking documents to ensuring tasks are completed within established timelines and budgets.

This position is responsible for all planning, coordination, and scheduling activities applicable to aircraft maintenance events and ensuring any issues that may impact the schedule are communicated to leadership and are resolved. This position

Reports to: Director of MRO Business Unit.

Duties:

  • Plans and schedules all programmed maintenance workloads for applicable MRO aircraft maintenance, ensures balanced application of manpower,
    facilities, parts, and tools are established to meet all scheduled forecast conditions.
  • Create planning and tracking documents (e.g., Gantt charts or similar) to monitor progress.
  • Coordinates aircraft routing requirements and ensures required aircraft are made available to appropriate maintenance personnel for scheduled task compliance.
  • Coordinate and communicate all "day of" operational changes affecting the maintenance plan.
  • Provide constant oversight of the maintenance plans, advising the supervisor of any irregularities affecting the maintenance schedule.
  • Runs and reviews maintenance and parts reports using various approved automated systems; creates and distributes scheduled maintenance work order requirements for completion using established automated programs and procedures.
  • Teamwork mindset, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Assist in the coordination of third-party vendors as may be required.
  • Provides maintenance forecasts to MRO Management.
  • Maintain a daily log of all maintenance and operational information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.

Job Requirements:

Education, Licenses, Certifications and/or Years of Experience:

  • High School graduate of equivalent is required.
  • Associates degree and/or Course work in project management-related field is Preferred.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience will be considered.
  • Must have intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling a high volume of multiple tasks, with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work the established work schedules upon hiring.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.
  • Must be able to successfully pass Pre-Employment background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
  • This is a DOT/FAA regulated safety-sensitive position that is subject to DOT Random Drug & Alcohol testing in accordance with 49 CFR Part 40 and 14
    CFR Part 120.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, and if position requires use of company vehicles(s), must be insurable under company insurance coverage.

Physical Demands:

  • Position requires some physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, and sitting for prolonged periods of time, and
    light lifting of boxes, bags, files, etc. not more than 40 lbs.
  • Work may be in hot or cold outdoor or indoor environments.
  • Finger agility for keyboarding.
  • Speaking, hearing, and understanding English.
