Job Description:

Pinnacle Aviation is looking for 2 highly motivated A&P technicians to join our growing maintenance department. If you obtain extensive knowledge working on Challenger or Gulfstream aircraft, we offer competitive pay depending on your work experience and knowledge. This position requires previous corporate jet knowledge, with a minimum of 3 years. The pay range will depend on experience (DOE).  Challenger or Gulfstream knowledge pay will be discussed upon interview.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data required in the manufacturers’ instructions for continued airworthiness, service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, government, and industry-standard practices, company policy and procedures, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
  • Ensures the shop premises are maintained in a clean and orderly manner prior to and following work shift.
  • Properly records the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record.
  • Coordinates with the inspection department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
  • Properly completes maintenance tack cards, work order signoffs, and other paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Properly identifies/tags customer property and equipment.
  • Stores aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely.
  • Follows standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment (external power carts, hydraulic power units, hydraulic lift platforms, forklifts, compressed gas cylinders, etc.).
  • Ensures that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Uses material tracking system to create parts demand and to charge labor to work orders, items, and squawks.
  • Properly collects and disposes of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic and de-icing fluids, and solvent rags.
  • Maintains a neat and organized work area and helps with the general daily housekeeping of the department.
  • Properly uses and maintains company-provided tools and equipment. Returns items to designated storage area after use.
  • Applies Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean and uncluttered.
  • Assists with projects and/or other technicians.
  • Assesses requirements of assigned tasks to procure required materials and documentation for signed tasks

Physical demands while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear and work in confined spaces, hot and cold environments. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to smell items. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 85 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires additional time on the job as required completing scheduled work requiring extended hours. This will include weekends, late nights, and/or holidays. Requires on-call rotation of maintenance contact phone.

The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, and vibration. Hearing and eye protection are required for this job.

Personal Tool Requirements: Must supply his/ her own hand tools for daily use.

Job Requirements:
  • Must be able to independently perform inspections, maintenance, and repair of complex aircraft systems and structures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the company and its clients
  • Strong analytical skills, project management experience, and independent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Assists with projects and/or other technicians
  • Basic knowledge of FAA Part 135 and Part 91
  • Ability to multi-task and complete work within assigned timelines under minimal supervision
  • Maintain flexible work schedule to meet assigned aircraft demand
  • A minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent with an active FAA A&P License and a minimum of three years of corporate jet experience or aviation maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Move up to 85 pounds on a frequent basis and 100 pounds on an infrequent basis
  • Ensure compliance and safety through effective understanding of safety requirements and acceptable documentation procedures
  • Maintain inventory at the assigned base
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all employees, co-workers, vendors, clients, customers, and members.
  • Repair and maintain machinery and equipment, as necessary.

  • Perform all aspects of aircraft maintenance
  • Must be compliance with the FAA drug program, and will be subject to onboarding and random drug tests (Marijuana is considered illegal under the FAA)
  • Must supply own tools for daily use (specialty tools will be provided as needed)
  • Independently performs inspection, maintenance, and repair of complex aircraft systems and structures
  • Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent with FAA A&P License, three years corporate aviation experience required.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Requires current Airframe and Powerplant Certificates.

Experience:

  • Aircraft Maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
  • License/Certification: Airframe & Powerplant License (Required)
