Location: Chandler, AZ Schedule: 6am to 2:30pm Payrate: $35 - $48
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization to hire a highly skilled Maintenance Technician. This is a critical role for an experienced professional who excels at advanced troubleshooting, equipment optimization, and driving continuous improvement across the production floor.
About the Role & Your Impact
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be a key contributor to equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Your ability to diagnose complex issues, lead repairs, and improve maintenance practices will directly reduce downtime, extend equipment life, and ensure safe, high-performing manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance
Perform advanced preventive maintenance on CNC machines, cold heading machines, and other production equipment
Conduct detailed inspections, identify wear trends, and proactively address potential failures
Maintain thorough documentation and help refine maintenance schedules based on equipment performance
Troubleshooting & Repairs
Diagnose and repair complex issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Perform root cause analysis for recurring or critical equipment failures
Lead efforts to quickly restore equipment and minimize production downtime
Machine Installation & Setup
Support and lead installation, alignment, calibration, and startup of new machinery
Assist with integrating new systems and modifying existing equipment to meet production needs
Continuous Improvement
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and company policies
Conduct safety checks and address hazards promptly
Maintain lockout/tagout practices and 5S standards
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage
Report recurring issues and recommend sustainable solutions
Monitor and communicate equipment performance and downtime trends
Collaboration & Leadership
Partner with production teams to coordinate maintenance with minimal disruption
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians
Communicate effectively with leadership to prioritize and execute maintenance activities
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex production equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
Strong root cause analysis, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently and lead maintenance efforts when needed
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
Technical certificate or degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Experience with CNC and cold heading machines
Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Experience with advanced diagnostic tools and predictive maintenance practices

Pay Details: $35.00 to $48.00 per hour
