Location: Gainesville, FL Payrate: $23.75/hour Schedule: 1st shift, 8am to 4:30pm
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading medical device manufacturer to find a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician who is passionate about keeping critical production equipment operating at peak performance.
In this role, youll help support the manufacturing of products that contribute to improving lives around the world. Your expertise in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive care will directly impact production efficiency, quality, and reliability in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
What Youll Do
As a Maintenance Technician, youll play a key role in ensuring manufacturing and support equipment remain operational and compliant with quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:
Daily Responsibilities
Perform and document daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment and fixtures.
Execute work orders in accordance with Quality System SOPs and established work instructions.
Troubleshoot and repair basic equipment failures to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with external vendors when necessary to support equipment repairs and reduce production interruptions.
Order, organize, and maintain inventory of spare parts and replacement components.
Assist with equipment and process validations, including IQs, OQs, and PQs.
Support calibration activities for production equipment involving time, temperature, pressure, and other critical parameters.
Collaborate closely with Technical Service Leadership, Manufacturing Engineers, Machinists, and Maintenance Mechanics.
Meet or exceed departmental goals and performance objectives.
Identify, document, and report process deviations to leadership.
Follow all safety procedures, departmental SOPs, and quality system requirements.
Support team initiatives and assist colleagues as needed.
What Were Looking For
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
MUST haven manufacturing experience.
Strong technical aptitude and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with common software applications.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule when required.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining CNC machinery and machine shop equipment.
Experience working in a manufacturing or regulated production environment.
Familiarity with equipment calibration, preventive maintenance programs, and process validations.

Pay Details: $23.75 per hour
