Job Description:
This position is responsible for managing a team of several technicians. His/her field of activity covers maintenance work associated with the storage of contracted aircraft, with maintenance and modification work and with equipment removal work as part of dismantling and decommissioning operations.
The department is organised into three activities: aircraft storage, aircraft maintenance and dismantling/decommissioning.
At the operational level, he/she cooperates with the Safety&Quality department, the Procurement department (including the supply chain function), the Project Manager and his/her line manager.
ACCOUNTABILITY Client related activities
Responsibilities in managing both internal and external customers, and ensuring there is effective customer relationship management
Participate in customer progress meetings as requested, assist the Project Manager in negotiating technical points with the customer as required
Operational activities
Responsibilities in running the day-to-day operations, and ensuring there is effective use of resources to achieve all the targets set
Governance and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with discipline, work regulations and safety and environmental guidelines.
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with all health and safety requirements in accordance with current legislation and Airbus rules.
Ensure that all maintenance/storage/recycling activities, including the correction of defects, are performed in accordance with approved data and in compliance with the organisation&39;s procedures and EASA/FAA rules and requirements
Ensure proper follow-up of working documents (including signing and approving of tasks carried out)
Report any nonconformities observed (NRC)
Propose technical solutions in accordance with the manufacturer&39;s documentation, based on own skills/ experience in agreement with the Project Manager, assist teams with complex tasks or major problems
Be proactive in seeking efficient solutions with the manager for daily managerial, technical and quality problems
Daily Work and Team Management
Carry out administrative follow-up (time booking by time and operation), define schedules and team assignments on a daily basis, Participate in the drawing up and scheduling of operations
Consider, schedule and approve the work to be carried out
Set daily production objectives (quality, meeting of deadlines) and organise schedules accordingly, Ensure the follow-up of working hours as the follow-up of schedules
Anticipate the needs and ensure the availability of tools and miscellaneous supplies required for the proper performance of the work assigned (small tools, equipment rental, etc.)
Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of work stations
Provide technical solutions in line with their skills/experience, assist teams with complex tasks or major problems
Ensure that human resources, skills and versatility are maintained
Ensure the suitability and eligibility of staff assigned to each job
Report any obstacles that may affect the work schedule to his/her supervisor and functional reporting line, suggesting mitigating actions/solutions
Report all difficulties related to technical problems encountered during the performance of operations
Developmental activities
Responsibilities in managing the people resources for the division or department and ensure continuous people development
Ensure that human resources, skills and versatility are maintained
Ensure the suitability and eligibility of staff assigned to each job
State the needs in terms of human resources and optimisation of workload/staff numbers in liaison with the Project Manager and on approval of by the manager.
Forecast recruitment needs (especially for temporary staff) in conjunction with the Project Manager, Provide technical expertise to the staff he/she supervises and supports the development of their skills (e.g. training)
Ensure the integration of new recruits (introduction to teams, safety training, etc.).
Deploy and implement a continuous improvement approach in daily all operations; carry out dedicated projects and/or actions.
Ensure that facilities and teams are tailored to work load/capacity needs; state and justify needs accordingly.
Ensure a proper level of communication within teams: Lead and motivate teams to achieve objectives, organise work and monitor its progress
Help foster an engaged working environment
Embody Airbus group values and strategy and promote them within his/her team
Other tasks assigned by the manager
QUALIFICATIONEDUCATION: Aeronautical vocational high school diploma or above.
EXPERIENCE: at least 10 years experience in CAAC & EASA Part-145, including 2 years as a team leader.
CERTIFICATION: CAAC Part-66 TA licence with English level 3 or above. Qualification on A320 aircraft types. A330 or 737 aircraft type is plus..
LANGUAGE: fluent English both in written and oral speaking
KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS: Be able to look through the AMM, CMM, IPC etc on airbus world and my Boeing fleet. Also be able to have enough skills to perform the tasks..
