This position is for a Mechanic/Avionics member of an ADP Flight Test Engineering team, providing support for all flight test activity from ground test to flight at a test location. The candidate will be part of a fast paced, dynamic environment exploring state of the art technical solutions for ADP Special Programs at a remote site. This position will require the primary individual to work odd shifts, overtime, and weekend work when needed.

The successful candidate must be able to remove and install components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, and customer facilities. Perform, conduct, and document preventive maintenance checks required for the asset and associated subsystems. Update all required maintenance data collection records and perform/assist with the installation and check-out of modifications. Maintain assets devices to meet availability requirements. Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting design drawings, manuals or engineering documents. Assist with installations, testing, and maintenance of ADP software packages. Isolate and report malfunctions and discrepancies to the lowest definable levels. Documents and maintain cabling schemes and drawings. Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards. Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, launch, recover, and service aircraft and engine systems. Must be familiar with a wide range of Ground Support Equipment in support of testing and everyday operations. Apply extensive technical expertise, and have full knowledge and be able to assist in the performance of other related disciplines.

The successful candidate will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies as directed. Comply with site security and access control procedures in accordance with the assigned ADP program and customer procedures. Sanitize all classified media (circuit cards, disk storage devices, etc.) to the LRU in accordance with established procedures.

Successful candidate must be willing to travel to remote site locations for extended periods of time.

Basic Qualifications:
• 5-7 years broad hands-on working experience in a 5 or 7 skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS avionics OR mechanic discipline or equivalent commercial experience such an FAA instrumentation license OR A&P license.

• Must be able to read/interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and maintenance instructions.

• Must be knowledgeable of Tool Control, FOD, Supply, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs.

• Top Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Working experience with Flight Test of air vehicles, manned and unmanned.

• Proficient in soldering.

• Proficient in structures work to include riveting and composite materials.

• Understanding of materials and hardware and their properties.

• Current of new manufacturing processes and techs, Prototyping Manufacturing Experience

• Previously held Air Force 7vl or Navy/USMC MOS equivalent.

• Ability to drive actions to meet or exceed customer satisfaction.

• Ability to complete mock ups, makes initial layouts, fabricates, assembles and installs new structures, components and systems as required.

• Experience with final flight line servicing, operational checkout, troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance, and final checkouts of aircraft structures and functional systems, including electrical, power plants, accessories and components, for airworthiness and conformance to Company and customer specifications and requirements.

• Working level of knowledge of Maintenance Information Systems such as Electronic Maintenance Instructions, Aircraft Forms Documentation, and Supply Chain Management.

• Possess an ability to work in a diverse work culture environment.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
