Mechanic Aviation

 

Starting Rate $23.00 (For beginner aviation mechanics)

 

Benefits:

Summary: Assist in aviation shop activities (Those with mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply, automotive mechanics, boat mechanics etc.)

 

Job Summary:

  1. Responsible for teardown, quoting, assembly and or testing of aircraft components (engines, pumps, fuel components)
  2. Perform component inspections
  3. Repair or replace broken part and components
  4. Perform troubleshooting
  5. Use power and hand tools
  6. Understand and apply guidelines from manuals
  7. Ensure compliance with safety regulations
  8. Performs all work in a manner that is compliant with applicable FAR’s, manufacturers specifications and customer instructions
  9. Inspect parts and materials for conformance to applicable maintenance manuals
  10. Conducts themselves in a professional manner, maintaining their respective work areas to standards of good housekeeping and obeying all federal, state and local statues as well as policies and procedures of their repair station
  11. Reports possible safety hazards or issues to management
  12. Maintain work are in a clean, orderly, safe manner
  13. Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations
  14. Other duties as assigned by management

 

Qualification:

  1. Previous experience as an aircraft mechanic or in a similar positions
  2. Aviation/mechanical specific training and or qualifications
  3. A & P certification preferred but not mandatory
  4. Great mathematical skills
  5. Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
  6. Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  7. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

 

Education and Experience:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Preferably 2-4 years related experience and or training

 

Physical Demands:

  1. Long periods of standing (at work bench station)
  2. Ability to walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, taste and smell
  3. Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl
  4. Employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 90 pounds
  5. Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Ability to adjust focus and see color

 

Work Environment:

  1. While performing the duties of this job employee is exposed to typical shop place fumes and airborne particles
  2. Noise levels of moderate to loud volumes
