MechanicJob Description
As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, adjustments, and repair of various vehicles, including electrical, brake, cooling, and power steering systems. Your role will involve performing preventative and corrective maintenance independently, carrying out inspections according to manufacturer and customer specifications. Additionally, you will utilize the newly introduced ERP system to complete reports and findings to enhance asset availability and reduce customer issues. Active participation in the OSHA process is expected, including complying with OSHA policies and procedures and reporting unsafe situations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and power steering systems.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance independently.
- Conduct inspections according to manufacturer and customer standards.
- Utilize ERP system to complete reports and findings.
- Participate in the OSHA process by understanding and complying with policies.
- Service ground support equipment for commercial clients.
- Handle high-volume work orders, especially for clients such as WestJet.
- Work with hydraulic systems that lift refrigeration systems.
- Perform inspections once or twice a month.
Essential Skills- Troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with hydraulics and refrigeration.
- Proficiency in preventive maintenance.
- Knowledge of diesel engines and electrical systems.
- Security clearance for airport badging or ability to obtain it.
- Provision of own hand tools; specialist and diagnostic tools are provided.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Minimum 3rd-year apprentice in heavy-duty equipment, maintenance, or automotive mechanics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Red Seal Automotive Technician.
- Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic.
- Experience with diesel and hydraulic systems.

Work Environment
Work a flexible 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM shift, Monday to Friday. Join a team-oriented environment where cultural alignment, values, mindset, passion, accountability, and integrity are crucial. The workshop is isolated, requiring a strong work ethic, confidence, and an open mind. A tarmac driving test must be completed within roughly a month.
