Description:Precision Fires (MFOM) Launchers requires an experienced engineer to support development and production launcher programs. The position’s primary tasks may require oversight of a small engineering team which will work closely with Engineering SMEs, Manufacturing, Quality and Procurement to develop new designs, integrate and test electronics and upgrade launchers with new fire control systems. Additionally, it may also involve part time resolution of hardware issues supporting a fast-paced production environment. Tasks include 3D model design, drawing release, supplier support, shop liaison, and a possible transition to take on Material Review Board (MRBE - hardware defects) work.

This position will primarily support the M270 CFCS Bock III program with some support to the IES Anti-Jam program and occasional support of the M270 Fleet Expansion launcher production program.
Basic Qualifications:
•4 year degree in engineering, physics, or manufacturing from an ABET accredit university.
•5 year minimum modeling with CREO and/or 3DExperience CAD modeling software, inclusive of detailed design and large assembly data management.
•Mechanical engineering design experience on weapon development program(s).
•Ability to communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership and externally to customers and suppliers.
•Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
•Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Current Secret clearance with last background check within 5 years.
• Experience in ground vehicle design, production support, and manufacturing liaison preferred.
• Knowledge of Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool navigation.
• Launcher, military or automotive vehicle experience is preferred but not required
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
