Job Description:

Description:The Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) program requires a mechanical design lead to support product development, release of engineering documents, and supplier support for hardware fabrication for development and demonstration phase of the program. This entails development of hardware configuration item drawings and associated lists being designed, coordinated and released in the Digital Product Lifecycle Management (dPLM) tool. Additionally, the mechanical design lead will assign tasks to engineering team members, provide task status to leadership, and perform reviews of work products from the engineering team. The successful candidate must demonstrate a leadership aptitude, strong problem solving skillset, and significant experience in product design within the aerospace industry. Specific missile development experience is desired. Proficiency with Windchill dPLM and CREO solid modeling software is required. Experience with model-based design using CREO is desired. Candidate should possess a DoD Secret level clearance or be able to obtain one.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must possess proficiency in Windchill dPLM and CREO solid modeling software.

Experience in product design within the aerospace industry

DoD Secret level clearance or be able to obtain one

BSE from an accredited college

Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Desired Skills:
Experience working with teams and assigning work, ability to lead teams and effectively communicate status to program leadership, strong communication and willingness to work in cross functional teams, strong organizational skills
Model Based Design is highly desired
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
