You will be the Mechanical Design Engineer for the Sniper program team. Our team is responsible for designing and integrating innovative fire control systems, and were looking for an experienced engineer to join our ranks.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical design and integration of our fire control system, ensuring seamless functionality and performance. You will leverage your expertise to drive design modifications and support production operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.

Your responsibilities will include:
•Evaluating current design models and performing fit/volume trade allocations
•Supporting stress analysis and trades to optimize system performance
•Incorporating design modifications to evolve concepts and meet emerging requirements
•Providing production support to the Sniper Sensors Integration and Test Center production operations team

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 10 years experience.
Engineer must have exposure of the mechanical design process and knowledge of modeling parts, assemblies, and structures.
Must have or have ability to obtain Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience with Creo/Windchill
Knowledge of the design process from concept to production
Experience working with prototype and production hardware
Solving mechanical production/design issues in a team environment
Exposure to military specification and defense requirements
Familiarity with Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing Standards
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
