The following position is for a Technical Service Engineer (TSE). The successful candidate supports the day-to-day efforts of the F-35 Sustainment Engineering Team as a technical subject matter expert for fighter Pilot Flight Equipment (PFE) product line. The right candidate will have experience with PFE as well as relevant experience with the F-35 Global Sustainment structure and processes.
The PFE technical SME works with various part of the Sustainment Teams to provide cradle-to-grave management of F-35 PFE to include sustainment and problem resolution relative to their specific PFE product line.
Additional duties include: reviewing field PFE requirements and recommending tools and ground support equipment for organizational level maintenance; evaluating PFE designs and identifying level of repair and required support resources to include identifying spares. The team focuses on Sustainment Support in the execution of F-35 stand up and field operations to insure a smooth flow of products and the sustainment of acceptable product performance, develop and initiate recommended improvements or changes to address the solution of an AR which are developed and implemented, and analyze impact of the AR as it relates to the condition of the JSF Fleet. Updating Bill of Materials (BOM) consistent with released manuals or engineering data, and then inputting the data in Excel or similar data tools; identifying scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks for fielded PFE and associated equipment.
Reviewing supplier operations and maintenance manuals for technical adequacy; providing logistics input and criteria to assist engineering develop supportable and maintainable designs; monitoring and participating in technical change management for PFE; contributing to proposal and special project efforts. The candidate will work with their respective product air vehicle design teams to develop/vet new PFE requirements. Experience with unit level (flight-line) military maintenance support systems is highly beneficial.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• F-35 flight-line PFE / AFE / PR maintenance experience; Familiarity with DoD maintenance manuals
• Experience with building PFE, Aircraft/Aviation System Bills-of-Material (BOM)/Structures
• Involvement with F-35 Engineering data release, Joint Technical Data, Performance Base Logistics, Logistic Support and Engineering Change processes
• Experience with post aircraft & equipment delivery data Management
• Knowledge with ALIS/CMMS/CRM
• Experience writing or investigating Action Request’s AR’s

This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance

• Reading and interpreting Time Compliant Technical Directives (TCTD)
• Background in military or civilian PFE sustainment operations
• Working knowledge of JSF Global Sustainment structure & processes;
• Able to brief small or large groups; strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to travel as necessary to support position
• First-hand experience using F-35 ATLAS application to extract and verify logistics data
• Ability to work jointly with the customer and teammates to identify solutions that meet both Government’s and industry’s needs.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
