The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our mission in Cape Canaveral, FL!

As Mechanical Engineer, you will exercise technical authority for the design of assigned projects to include major modifications for Trident II missile processing and support facilities. You will develop and review engineering design packages: drawings, specifications, testing/acceptance procedures and cost estimates for assigned projects. You will ensure designs comply with International Building Codes (IBC), United Facility Criteria (UFC) and Lockheed Martin standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. You will coordinate and participate in activities regarding technical development, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and construction issues.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with mechanical, HVAC or crane systems and functions/design
- Experience with design standards and codes, including Unified Facility Criteria (UFC) and/or International Building Codes (IBC)
- US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with the military construction (MILCON) process
- PE License in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience on a Department of Defense (DoD) program involving missiles or launch vehicles working directly with customer counterparts to develop designs, resolve technical issues and improve processes
- Experience with aerospace or missile processing, production facilities and associated supporting infrastructure
- Proficiency in STAAD-Pro, RISA-3D, AutoCAD, REVIT, Word, Excel and/or PowerPoint
- Experience with cost estimation/tools (US Cost, Success Estimator, RS Means)
- Experience in overhead crane design, specifications, installation, inspection, testing and certification activities
- Experience in HVAC system design, specifications, installation, inspection and testing
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
