Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a Mechanical Repair Technician to join our team in Bishops Cleeve and then Tewkesbury in 2026.

What you’ll be doing
As an integral part of the MRO Gyro repairs team, youll be responsible for the assembly of various mechanical products and sub-assemblies to support the final unit production cells.
The key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating and repairing various mechanical products and sub-assemblies using the correct tools, documentation, and procedures.
- Compliance with production processes and procedures, production schedules and recording standards using business IT systems (i.e. ERP/MRP).
- Assembling and inspecting top level LRUs using the correct tools, documentation, and procedures.
- Ensure finished products conform to quality standards to enable progression to inspection and release process.
- Demonstrates personal behaviours that underpin and support a safe working environment.
- Be able to work in an ISO5 / ISO7 clean room environment, with a strict adherence to FOD control.
What you’ll need to know
You’ll have previous experience of working in a MRO environment with mechanical products and special processes. Youll have a good understanding of written instructions, schematic drawings, specifications, work orders and engineering documentation. Youll be able to demonstrate excellent dexterity due to the small mechanical parts needed in assembly and attention to detail, and in addition to being computer literate.
You’ll be comfortable working towards deadlines and performance targets. You’ll have a passion for lean methodologies, continuous improvement and furthering your own personal education.
Aerospace experience, working within a Part 145 environment an advantage and preferred.
