Mechanics(Deconstruction)

Job Description:

Aircraft mechanics are in charge of the greening and cutting phase. They are responsible to strip the inside of the aircraft down to its green shell, while sorting the waste materials and cut the airframe into little parts for treatment and transportation for recycling purposes. They also report to the deconstruction leader.

Operational activities

• Scheduling and overseeing routine cutting & greening work order cards.

• Implementing and adhering to strict safety guidelines.

• Complete the greening and cutting of the aircraft according to internal procedures, execute task regarding greening and cutting outside scope of CAAC circular AC-145-FS-2019-017

• strip the inside of the aircraft (cockpit, cabin and cargo holds) down to its green shell

• sort the waste materials (cables, foam, cabin items…) obtained at source in order to recover as many of them as possible

• cut the airframe into little parts for treatment and transportation for recycling purposes

• Other tasks assigned by manager

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Understand customers’ needs, feedback customers’ requirements to the Team Leader in time.

Operational Outputs

• In accordance with the regulations, procedures and W/Is of the operation department, implement  the deconstruction activities on time, on cost and on quality.

Developmental Outputs

•  Continuously improve the delivery time, cost and quality of deconstruction activities.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience: 3 years in aircraft maintenance or above

• Basic Skills:

  • Basic read and written English 

• Standard practice of mechanical

• Technical Skills: 

  • Thorough understanding of aircraft parts, systems, and mechanics.

  • Thorough understanding of tools and methods used to ensure proper deconstruction of an aircraft.

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and adhere to manual instructions to resolve complex mechanical issues.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software used to complete and maintain records.

  • Detail-oriented with mechanical inclination.

  • Superior and careful workmanship.

  • Ability to perform consistently under stressful conditions.

  • Ability to perform basic inspections and repairs.

  • Ability to learn new skills and methods of repairs.

  • Sufficient oral and verbal communication skills, as needed, to discuss equipment malfunctions and complete reports.
