STS Technical Services is actively hiring Mechanics of all skill levels to join our team in LaPorte, Texas. This full-time opportunity supports a fleet of trucks built at our TICO facility in Ridgeland, South Carolina. With a consistent power package and driveline across 95 of the fleet, mechanics are able to quickly learn the systems and become efficient on the job. We offer paid training for the right candidates, a sign-on bonus, and plenty of overtime opportunities.
Position Overview
- Perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tasks on heavy-duty terminal tractors and related equipment
- Conduct safety checks and inspect electrical, hydraulic, suspension, cooling, A/C, steering, DPF, brake, and air systems
- Use computer-based diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment failures
- Document all work using fleet maintenance software
- Follow OSHA standards and company safety protocols to maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate repairs and assign tasks as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in any of the following:
- Heavy truck repair
- Medium or heavy-duty equipment maintenance
- Forklift or construction equipment service
- Automotive repair and diagnostics
- Completion of a diesel or automotive tech program preferred
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to grow in the field
- Must supply your own tools (Company-sponsored tool program available)
