Job Description:
​Performs duties as the Aviation Non-destructive Inspector (NDI) level III Technician under the direction of the Production Control (PC) Supervisor. Interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the NDI/NDT method(s). Assumes technical responsibility for the NDI/NDT facility and staff. Conducts NDI/NDT for acceptance of aviation parts. Provides direction, training, examination, and certification of personnel in the method in which they are certified. Prepares forms and records related to aircraft maintenance. Provides training to Saudi National Guard soldiers to include certification recommendations for progression. Develops training programs, schedules training and documents training in an automated training management system. Provides training reports to the Division Training Manager as required. Ensures that all related operations are conducted in a safe manner. ​


A.
Duties/responsibilities:

1. Ensures that aircraft NDI functional activities and procedures among designated organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness (OR) rates IAW contractual requirements.

2. Responsible for the compliance with established maintenance systems, processes, procedures, and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform OR rates.

3. Establishes daily maintenance operational goals, objectives, and priorities for implementation in order to achieve stated OR rates.

4. Ensures all maintenance operations and related maintenance support activities are conducted in a safe manner.

5. Oversees and manages all directed NDI level III maintenance and OJT activities; directs and coordinates the program activities of all NDI level II aviation maintenance. Develops training curriculum.

6. Develops training curriculum

7. Schedules training.

8. Documents training using automated training management systems.

9. Other tasks as directed by the PC Supervisor or Division Training Manager.

Independence: Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Retains the authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.

Job Requirements:


A.
Education Level:

1. Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

2. Preferred Advanced degree or equivalent.


B.
Training Certifications:

1. Associate’s Degree or equivalent training and experience.

2. FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.


C.
Experience:

1. Required: A minimum of five 5+ years in NDI experience.

2. Ten (10) years’ experience performing maintenance on rotary wing aircraft.

3. Previous NDI Level II experience.

4. Qualified by the appropriate USG armed forces maintenance course or civilian equivalent.


D.
Specific knowledge, skills, ability:

1. Graduate of a US Military NDI Level III course or civilian equivalent.

2. Experience with documenting performed NDI inspection tasks of aircraft and aircraft components relative to the inspection, modification and repair of military aircraft is required.

3. Must meet Level 3 qualification process hour standards in accordance with National Aerospace Standard 410 (NAS410) in Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant and Radiography NDI disciplines.

4. Must demonstrate skills and knowledge to set up, calibrate and operate equipment, conduct inspections and to interpret, evaluate and document results in accordance with procedures approved and utilized by the appropriate Level III or Government customer agency.

5. The individual shall be able to organize and document NDI results.

6. The individual shall be familiar with the codes, standards, process controls and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the Company or customer agency.

7. Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation.

8. Proficient in MS Office software.

9.. Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

10. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.

11. Possess a valid driver’s license.
