NDI Level III Trainer

Starting 1 January, 2018 Vinnell Arabia will have multiple NDI Level III positions available. Performs duties as the Aviation Nondestructive Inspector (NDI) level III Technician under the direction of the Production Control Manager. Interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the NDI/NDT method(s) assumes technical responsibility for the NDI/NDT facility and staff. Provides direction, training, examination, and certification of personnel in the method in which they are certified. Conducts NDI/NDT for acceptance of parts. Prepares forms and records related to aircraft maintenance. Provides training to Saudi National Guard soldiers to include certification recommendations for progression. Develop training programs, schedule training and document training in an automated training management system. Provide training reports to the Division training officer as required. Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner.
Education level: High school diploma required.
Experience: Five (5) years’ NDI experience required.Qualified by the appropriate USG armed forces aircraft power train maintenance course or civilian equivalent required. Previous NDI Level III experience required.Ten (10) years’ experience performing maintenance on US Army aircraft desired. US Military or civilian technical trainer experience required. Experience in overseas contracting environments desired.
Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements: Certificate:NDI Level III certificated by USG armed forces or civilian equivalent. Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation. Experience with documenting performed NDI inspection tasks of aircraft and aircraft components relative to the inspection, modification and repair of military aircraft is required. Must meet Level 3 qualification process hour standards in accordance with National Aerospace Standard 410 (NAS410) in Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant and Radiography NDI disciplines. Must demonstrate skills and knowledge to set up, calibrate and operate equipment, conduct inspections and to interpret, evaluate and document results in accordance with procedures approved and utilized by the appropriate Level III or Government customer agency. The individual shall be able to organize and document NDI results. The individual shall be familiar with the codes, standards, process controls and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the Company or customer agency. Ability to communicate both orally and written. Possesses a valid State driver’s license.
