Job Title: NDT Technician
Job Description
The NDT Technician inspects aircraft parts using non-destructive testing methods and accurately documents findings to support compliance with FAA and DCMA requirements and audits. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the structural integrity, safety, and reliability of a wide range of aircraft and components.
Responsibilities
- Inspect aircraft parts and components using approved non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to verify structural integrity and detect defects.
- Perform magnetic particle inspection (MPI/MT) on metallic components to identify surface and near-surface discontinuities.
- Conduct dye and liquid penetrant inspections to reveal surface-breaking defects in aircraft parts.
- Document all inspection results clearly and accurately to support FAA and DCMA compliance and audit requirements.
- Follow established NDT procedures, standards, and specifications to ensure consistent and reliable inspection outcomes.
- Manage and support NDT penetrant audits, including preparation of documentation and verification of process adherence.
- Assist in maintaining NDT records, logs, and reports in accordance with regulatory and internal quality requirements.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to communicate inspection findings and support corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement of inspection processes and contribute to maintaining a high level of safety and quality.
Essential Skills
- At least 3+ recent years of experience in non-destructive testing (NDT) with a focus on penetrant inspection and related processes.
- Hands-on experience performing dye and liquid penetrant inspections on aircraft parts or similar components.
- Proficiency in magnetic particle inspection (MPI and MT) techniques.
- Demonstrated experience managing or supporting NDT penetrant audits and related compliance activities.
- Strong understanding of FAA and DCMA compliance requirements related to aircraft inspection and documentation.
- Ability to interpret and follow technical procedures, specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in inspection, documentation, and recordkeeping.
- Strong communication skills to clearly document findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in an aircraft maintenance, repair, or overhaul environment.
- Familiarity with inspection of various aircraft models and components.
- Experience in managing inspection processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively in a structured, quality-focused environment.

Work Environment
The work environment centers on a full-service aircraft maintenance and inspection facility with capabilities for major inspections, heavy structural repairs and modifications, and avionics upgrades. The organization supports and services multiple aircraft types, including Piaggio P180, Beech King Air B100, MU300/Beechjet, Cessna Conquest, Cessna Citation, Cessna Caravan, Twin Commander, and MU2 aircraft. As an authorized service center for several major platforms and engines, the facility provides exposure to a broad range of aircraft systems and configurations. Work typically takes place in hangars and specialized inspection areas equipped for non-destructive testing, where adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements is essential.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
