Job Description

As a Level I Technician, you will perform calibrations, non-destructive tests, and evaluations to determine acceptance or rejection based on written instructions, and document the results.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
• Organize and report test results.
• Instruct and supervise others as needed.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• NDT Level I Certification MT, PT, and ET.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• UT Certification is a plus.
• FAA Airframe Certification is a plus.
• Strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and looks for ways to improve efficiency.
• Dependable with exceptional safety and quality awareness.
• Aerospace experience preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The work environment is indoors with swamp coolers and fans. Safety glasses and safety shoes, composite or steel-toed, are required. The role requires physical activity including standing, walking, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $26.00/hr.
