Job Description:
We are looking for motivated individuals to fill the role of a Product Trainer. The Product Trainer fulfills customer training requirements for electronic systems, sensors, and radars. Duties for the Product Trainer include but are not be limited to:
  • Develops/updates training curriculum in accordance with Instructional Systems Design/Systems Approach to Training and military training standards:
    • Training Program Plan
    • Job Task Analysis
    • Curriculum Outline of Instruction
    • Lesson Plans
    • Test Package
    • Trainee Guides
    • Job Aids
  • Conducts In-Process Reviews
  • Becomes proficient with system operation and maintenance tasks
  • Conducts classroom and hands-on training for customer operators and maintainers
  • Develops Trainee and Training Course Completion Data
  • Travels as necessary (estimated to be up to 25% of the time) to support and conduct training activities
  • Interfaces effectively with program and customer personnel to accomplish training tasks
  • Supports other program tasks when not performing training tasks
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have excellent written, oral communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language, including technical language and terms associated with system operation and maintenance. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both individually as well as in a team-oriented environment.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience developing technical training curricula and conducting technical training classes. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with maintenance and/or operation of electronic systems, sensors, and radars
  • Successful completion of military curriculum developer courses, military formal school instructor course, or equivalent industry-recognized technical training instructor program
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in implementation of MIL-PRF-29612 Instructional Systems Design/Systems Approach to Training, Education
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an instructor of military electronic systems maintainers and/or operators
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Able and willing to perform physically demanding hands-on training tasks in challenging environmental conditions
  • Able and willing to travel to CONUS, OCONUS, and foreign destinations in support of training tasks
  • Active DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as an electronic systems, sensors, or radar crew chief or maintenance chief, or as an operator team leader
  • Experience in one of the following (or similar) military career fields:
    • MOS 0842 Field Artillery Radar Operator
    • MOS 2887 Artillery Electronics Technician
    • MOS 5948 Aviation Radar Technician
    • AFSC 3D1X5 Ground Radar Systems Technicians
    • AFSC 13B3D Commander, Director of Operations, Mission Crew Commander, Senior Director, Air Surveillance Officer
    • AFSC 1C591/00 Battle Staff Coordinator
    • AFSC 1C571 Air Surveillance Technician
    • AFSC 1C5X1 Weapons Director, Electronic Protection Technician, Interface Control Technician, Data Systems Technician, Surveillance Technician
    • NSI 009-24 Authorization, Control, Isolation, Blanking, and Tagging Requirements
    • NSI 009-73 Shipboard Electrical/Electronic/Fiber Optic Cable Remove, Relocate, Repair and Install
  • US military training development and instructor experience
  • BS in a STEM field
  • SCORM courseware development, and courseware media development (graphics/audio/HTML5)
