Job Summary
Perform major inspections of the aircraft. Inspect modifications, alterations and repairs to the aircraft, components, major assemblies or sub-assemblies to applicable approved data and document their findings in accordance with FAA and company procedures. Make appropriate log book entries to document work performed by the repair station in accordance with FAA regulations. Interface with the maintenance floor supervisor, customer and FAA as required to accomplish their duties in a professional manner. Ensure safety of the product being serviced and the documentation of the maintenance being performed by the repair station.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Accomplishes all work while following company and industry safety standards while maintaining the highest level of quality.
Adheres to all FAA Regulations, the Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM), and all other approved data.
Perform to company standards, work instructions, and perform necessary calculations using shop math to conform tooling, detailed parts, assemblies and installations.
Performs complete inspection of components and production tools to determine safety or conformance to standards and requirements.
Use precision measuring guides, gauges and laboratory instruments.
Is familiar with FAR Part 145, 135, 91, 65, 21 and related A/Cs rev. 1
Complete and maintain other reports and records as required.
Accurately log computerized labor data collection for time and attendance tracking.
Follows specific authorizations as listed on Inspection Authorization Letter.
Contributes to a positive work environment while maintaining the utmost level of professionalism at all times.
Able and willing to mentor others.
Able to communicate technical information clearly to supervisory personnel, flight crews and customers.
Works assigned shift and unscheduled overtime as-needed or requested.
Ability to travel and perform AOG maintenance.
Occasionally communicates directly with customers and vendors.
Maintains a clean and organized work area at all times and adheres to company dress standards.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and company
Shift Friday- Sunday 7am-7:30pm
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent with additional courses in aircraft maintenance in recognized service or technical school programs.
3+ years aircraft related experience required
2+ years aircraft inspection experience preferred
FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required
Good knowledge of FAA regulations as pertaining to aircraft maintenance.
Must have required tools.
Intermediate computer skills preferred.
Turbine jet aircraft training and experience – Dassault Falcon Models preferred.
FAA Inspection Authorization certification preferred
Working Conditions
Works in a climate controlled hangars. (Heated and Cooled)
Occasionally works outside on tarmac in atmospheric weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
Ability to wear and utilize personal protective equipment
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistance
Comfortable in tightly enclosed areas, heights involving lifts and ladders, as well as, flying.
Requires the ability to perform all physical functions of the job (hear, stand, kneel, walk, etc.)
