Job Summary:
The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for performing audits of work packages and logbook entries to ensure accuracy, compliance, and completeness. This role supports the QA process by reviewing documentation, identifying discrepancies, and filing the appropriate packages into Clients system. This position does not require a technician background but requires proven experience in the QA process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed audits of work packages for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and audit logbook entries to verify proper documentation and traceability.
  • Identify, document, and escalate discrepancies or non-conformances found during audits.
  • File completed and approved work packages into Clients system in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain organized records of audited packages and logbook entries for traceability and future reference.
  • Ensure all documentation meets internal QA policies, FAA, and/or other applicable regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with production, inspection, and records departments to resolve documentation issues.
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity of the Quality Management System through accurate record keeping.
  • Other duties as assigned to support Quality Assurance operations.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within aviation, aerospace, or manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience performing documentation audits, logbook reviews, or work package review.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation review.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including ability to learn Clients filing and records systems.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to company procedures.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with FAA regulations, Part 145 Repair Station environment, or AS9100 standards.
  • Familiarity with work package flow and aircraft maintenance records.
  • Previous experience writing or processing NCRs, tags, or discrepancy reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Integrity: Uphold quality standards and regulatory compliance without compromise.
  • Time Management: Meet deadlines for package review and filing in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office/climate-controlled environment with occasional time on the production floor.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • May require lifting of files, binders, or boxes up to 25 lbs with/without reasonable accommodation.
  • Standard work schedule with potential for overtime as required by production demands.
  • Complies with OSHA and Company Safety Standards and procedures.
