Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job DescriptionThe Quality Inspector is responsible for the quality inspection and documentation of high-precision machined metal parts and manufactured sub-assemblies for rotary-wing aircraft. This includes parts such as the main rotor head and components, bushings, assemblies of bonded or bolted parts, transmission parts, gears, fittings, and various other products for helicopters.
Responsibilities
- Conduct first article inspections and receiving inspections.
- Document findings using GD&T and precision measurement tools.
- Perform in-process manufacturing inspection.
- Inspect parts received from third-party machining vendors.
- Review task cards, blueprints, and documents for scheduled inspection activities.
- Use micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, FaroArm, and other tools for inspection.
- Coordinate with Quality leadership and mechanics for follow-up repairs.
- Utilize computers to retrieve files, input data, and submit quality and non-conformance reports using Microsoft Office applications.
- Perform dimensional inspection, conformity, and first article inspections for flight-critical parts.
Essential Skills- 4+ years of Quality experience with high-precision machined metal parts or aircraft structural assemblies.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Understanding of GD&T.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications for Quality tasks in an Aerospace/Aviation manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Preferred: CMM experience.
- Preferred: FaroArm experience.
- Preferred: Experience in AS9102 processes and documentation.
- Preferred: Previously held quality control stamp responsibility.

Work Environment
The role involves working in the Quality department of a heavy-lift helicopter operator and MRO, engaged in rebuilding helicopters and expanding manufacturing capabilities over the next five years. This hands-on position requires over 50 of the time to be spent walking and standing in the inspection lab, machine shop, and hangar floor. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 0630 - 1630, with early Fridays ending at 1430.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $52.00/hr.
