Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; technical school diploma preferred.
- 2+ years in manufacturing and/or quality inspection; composite layup/assembly experience desired.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, scales, etc.).
- Familiarity with AS9102 and aerospace quality standards preferred.

Applied Math – Level 3
- Solve problems requiring a single type of mathematical operation:

- Convert between familiar units of money and time.
- Add prices of several products to reach a total.
Graphic Literacy – Level 3
- Work with a limited amount of data (less than 20 data points/fields).
- Handle one level of data (e.g., number of items in inventory).
- Manage one or two variables (e.g., day of the week and number of items in inventory).
- If axes are present, there will be one or two (x and/or y axis).
- Locate and find information.
- Identify the next or missing step in a process.
Workplace Documents – Level 4
- Straightforward documents with long sentences and numerous details.
- Material uses a mix of common and harder words.
- Describes procedures with several steps.
- Requires employees to consider changing conditions when following procedures.

- Identify course of action given more than one condition.
- Distinguish steps that seem similar but differ based on varying factors.
- Maintain attention to significant details with little prompting.

Effective Performance Level Skill Requirements for the Job
Applied Math – Level 5
- Decide what information, calculations, or unit conversions to use.
- Solve multi-step problems (find one value and use it to find another).
- Add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators.
- Convert units within or between systems of measurement.
- Identify the best deal using one- and two-step calculations.
- Calculate perimeter, circumference, and area of basic shapes.
- Calculate percentages and apply them to determine solutions.
- Identify where a mistake occurred in a calculation.
Graphic Literacy – Level 6
- Work with a moderate amount of data, possibly nested.
- Handle many variables.
- Interpret trends, patterns, and relationships.

- Information is stated directly but hard to find due to extraneous details.
- Includes technical terms, jargon, acronyms, and words with multiple meanings.
- Documents may have complex sentences and conditional situations.
- Determine meanings of words and technical terms based on context.
- Apply instructions to new, similar situations considering changing conditions.
- Make inferences to accomplish goals.

Employees at this level demonstrate the ability to:
- Identify course of action to take when more than one condition applies.
